BP wanted to change the culture of the organisation in the wake of the

Gulf of Mexico oil spill. There was a need to go back to basics. Our brief

was to create a company bible that was usable. Rather than simply replace the current BP guide we decided to create a desktop app. The app was accessible and searchable. It turned the guide from something that was referred to in times of emergency to a live document that became part of

the way they worked. We also changed the tone of the document from a formal piece of corporate communication to something far more human

and inclusive.
